Research activity:
Development of the advanced metals (steels and alloys), strengthening and treatment (especially resource-saving processes) methods and physical (torsion, compression) and physical and numerical simulation applying to billets (plates and strips, forge pieces), and parts of machines (axles, shafts, rings, and etc.) by means of plastic and heat treatment; thermomechanical processing, ultrafine and nanocrystalline metallic material produced by severe plastic deformation methods and etc. Characterizations, diagnostic (mechanical properties including brittle fracture evaluation, corrosion and etc.) of steels and alloys.

more than 300 (including 7 books: 5 in Russian, 2 in English, 5 booklets, papers in Russian, English, German, Polish and other languages).
Awards:
a Honour scientist of Russian Higher Professional Education (2012), a Honour Scientist of Europe by European Academy of Sciences (Hannover, Germany, EU, 2007), and Leibnits medal (Germany, EU, 2007). Awarded as an a Honour Inventor of SSSR (1984), 1st prize of Prof. Minkevich as the best resourse-saving technology (1988), silver and bronze medals of VDNKH SSSR (1979, 1989), etc.
