Research and Academic Focus
His scientific and academic activities are focused on metallurgical technologies, especially in the field of refining, casting and solidification of steels and non-ferrous metals by utilization of simulation tools, material analysis and laboratory experiments and practical verifications.
He is the author or co-author of more than 150 works, therefrom 70 scientific articles in international journals (WoS H=13). Since 2002, he participated in solving more than 20 projects focused on applied research in the field of metallurgy and related fields of industrial optimisation. Since 2010, he was a holder or a key researcher in 10 of the above-mentioned projects. He is an originator of 15 verified technologies, 1 utility model and 4 functional samples. He is a member of the organizing committee of other national and international conferences focused on metallurgy. He is a member of the Czech Foundrymen Society and the Czech Metallurgical Society.
He was/is a lecturer of more than 22 subjects in the frame of bachelor, master and Ph.D. study programmes. He was/is the supervisor of more than 72 theses (bachelor and/or master). He is a PGS trainer. He participated in 17 projects focused on the development of education. He is the author or co-author of more than 10 study support materials.
